I am interested in putting two speakers in the air vents hole in the dash then putting the air system in the centre console. But I would like to know from people who have done it. What size speakers have you used that fit in the holes without having to change the hole by cutting etc. would 4'' speakers fit nicely.
Thanks.

I did this with my custom consoles dash and 4 inch (10cm) speakers fitted straight in with no problems. I'm guessing the air vent holes in the center console are exactly the same so should work...

Wow love how you have done the inside. How did you connect them to the head unit, as in what cables, did you use an amp.

Nothing complicated I would imagine. Just normal speaker wire to the speakers cables on the HU harness.

If you had an amp, it would just be a case of running extra speaker wire along the floor to the speakers. Up the side of the tunnel would be fine, or under the door opening on the floor, under the carpet.

just like freshairmini said, those and 2 6x9's under the back seat are powered by my headunit. Works pretty well, good enough for what i use it for so no need for an amp

As far as i am aware the vent holes in the centre consul are for the bottom of the main heater, not for the side air vents.

Where abouts on the hu harness would I connect the speaker wire.

yeah but the actual air vents that fit into the gaps are the same so it should be fine, you might want to measure the gap between the holes as well to make sure you have room to mount the speakers. Otherwise you could mount them from the back of the console. My harness was labeled with which speaker connect where (front left, back right, etc) so i just soldered then heatshrinked the cables straight to it

I don't have the manual but I will look on the harness for a label.

Will that cable be the right sort.

Another alternative could be under-dash speaker pods :)

that cable will be fine. but the page you linked to has sold out, plus its 25meters far too much!

car audio direct are good sellers of all things ice. There cable is sold by the meter, much mire ideal. http://www.caraudiod...-speaker-wires/

Bought it off a member on here. They come up every so often, kinda hard to find. Something a little different
