Does anyone have rs turbo or similar recaros fitted in there mini??
If so, how well do they fit and do they flip forward enough to allow access to the back seats??
Cheers.

Hi,
I have seen Recaro seats fitted in minis a few times and by the looks of some of them they looked like rs turbo seats so it is possible, not sure about the space you would have though! i would like to know that myself actually because i am considering getting them seats too! :)

I fitted xr3i seats once and they were ok. Things to consider are the overall height of the seat base when mounted and the height of the back. I know they tip over but not sure if the headrest hits the screen early. They are a similar if not identical seat to the recoaro GTB (i think).
You can get a dark grey version from escorts and a light grey and then an almost charcoal/black one out the fiesta. But they command good money and are quite ofter worn out. Drivers bolster and the seat bases themself. Also check underneath as the frames can crack. Just from experience (mainly a ford fan, but mad on minis).
Mine in my last xr2

yes I have them:

I modified some cobra sub frames to make them fit, but there not ideal. When its off the road I plan to make something from secure.

I wouldn't say great, but they do fit. If you have them right at the back of their travel it rubs on the rear bins, so has worn some of the vinyl on the outer back edge off, also they can sit quite high on cobra subframes I had to cut them down allot. I wanted to try and make my own subframe that would move it over slightly and sit lower.

whats it like height wise, can they bflip forward or do they hit the roof or windscreen??

they don't hit the roof but they will hit the windscreen. But at that point there is enough room for people to squeeze in the back (as tested by my 6' + friend
)

They should fit, I have some recaros from a 2.8 injection capri going in mine in the next fortnight and so far they look like they should fit ok.

Using subframes from other seats is ludicrous, there never gonna fit like they should! Mine are amazing,and touch the rear seat, home built subframes ftw.
