yes old carb no altered nothing engine size 998 only differance old engine low compresion new one high compresion could be big thing ?
mmmmmmm not sure on that one bud i dont think it would, but someone on here may know

then slacken the dizzy pinch bolt slightly enough so you can move the dizzy with a bit of resistance.
Whilst somebody is turning the key, move the dizzy round clockwise and anticlockwise...you should hit a spot where it feels like it will run. don't touch the leads :) slightly damp and you could get a belt off it
Helps give a bit of choke from cold.
once running can then set more accurately

no havnt got one and wouldnt know how to use one ha ha ha
i think you advance the dizzy until the revs insrease then back it off 3/4 degrees , then drive it and see if it runs ok if not just alter either way a little untill satisfied
