Hi
I have a bog standard mini 30 and am looking for a way to get power boosts from it without having to fork out to much money.
I have looked into changing the head to a 1275 head and there seem to be mixed feelings about whether or not I would have to pocket the block or just sink the valves
Can someone please give a straight answer over which is best and also how much it would cost?
Thanks

Measure first! If you have 320 thou clearance then you do nothing. If less - sink the valves auntil you DO have the clearance. This is a low cost power boost mod which works really well - don't make it complicated!

How do you sink the valves ?
Is this something I could do myself?
And what is thou clearance?

(sorry I'm learning as I go and so some things are a bit too tetchy for me)
