I am kooking to make my own dash, now when i took my old speedo surround off i noticed that the speedos are not flush with the dash, can any one tell me how to get around this? Not sure if it makes sence but ill give it a shot! cheers.

you remove the speedo from it's existing mounting and then fit it directly to the back of the dashboard! :dontgetit:

but if you want it fitting flush with the dash you will have to trim down the plastic tubes on the housing for the indicator bulbs, at least i had to :ph34r:

also,be aware if you do this and your dash board is near verical you will limit your view of the gauges :ermm:

same here - but after a few hours u get used to wear the "real" speeds are!!

I didnt have to cut my idicator tubes down?? - i just screwed the unit to the back of the dash :D

Does anyone know where i can get some chrome or silver sticky back stuff, to stick around the dials?? been afrter some for ages - just cant find any - any thoughts??

its f***ing expensive at halfords - i only want about 1m square - and they chage £25 for 2m square - i dont think so - will try hunting around more - thanks any mate

had no money for timber currently wokring on the speaker board first and will worry about the dash when i get my 3clocks. cheers neways.

p.s. we need to go out for a drive when you pass ur test!!!!
