I know some cars have the origional color coded into the serial number and was wondering if Mini's did? Is there anywhere on the car that has a color code? I'm looking to do a complete teardown this winter and do a respray but want to know if the Java Green is the origional color. I know it's neen resprayed because there are runs on the roof.

I know on mine there is a trim and paint code on a plate just in front of the radiator if thats any help?

You could always look under the carpet or somewhere they may not have painted for the original colour. Or if you know the year etc that will narrow it down as certain colours are for certain year cars.
