I' ve owned the car for 3 months. Today, there was no power to the 2 guages instrument pannel and the car will not start but cranks perfectly. Also, found the red vaccume horse from the air cleaner disconnected from the engine side. Could not locate the port to refit. Is it on the exhaust manifold? Any help with photos, comments etc, is greatly appreciated. Best regards, DeSilva.

I have no idea what would cause the power loss but if the engine turns over without firing perhaps the fuel isn't getting to the cylinders. Have you checked the fuel cut off switch? Easy place to start. When you turn the key do you hear the fuel pump kick in?
Might not be your problem but I've been struggling with a similar sounding problem for over 2 years now.

Another easy place to start would be the spark plugs? Check if its sparking. If it isnt then the fuel isnt igniting allowing the engine to self sustain...

Thank you for all the responses..... I was told to remove and re-plug the ECU-Engine Management and then it powered up again!!!! no idea what coaused the problem??? but it did work, and the car is running. Now it idles fast and I am hesitant to adjust the idel screw without a Crypton ACT Diagnostic Tester........ Hard to find in the USA......
