Obviously ratios vary but otherwise are all crownwheels and pinions the same? ie no difference between A and A+, remote or magic wand box etc

No there are differences, for example you cannot use an A series crownwheel or pinion with an A+ equivalent, also each crownwheel is designed to be used with only one tooth count pinion.

But as long as they are a matched pair they will fit?

dimension wise and what they fit onto, yes completely compatible through the whole range...

However, don't try and put a CWP from an auto in a manual as it wont fit, nor try and put a longer final drive than a 3.4 in a remote or Magic wand without modifying the bearing retainer, as the pinion wont fit in the hole.

You'd need one of these http://www.guess-wor...play.htm?id=148

Currently have a 4.13 ratio and it screams its head off. Would 3.4 be the best to go for? It's A+ 998 on remote box, 10" wheels
