apparently i need a new trust washer at 0.128", iv gone through 20 pages of minispares for one but cant find, where will i get one???

Thats 'because its not a size available from the 'factory'... you can get them made up from the like of MED et al to the size you need....

Yup that's 4 thou out of range, check that your gear retainer, its C-clip and the top hat bush in the primary gear aren't too worn before getting something custom made, also check the condition of the groove in the crank.
If it's out of range then something must be worn, no point getting new parts made up if there's only a months gearchanges left in your top hat bush. If all the parts are useable then as Dave says get a custom shim made. I've had a set of parts myself that were all fine but the endfloat was still too large but it's worth checking everything first.

my engineer blokey has checked it all ouyt, he's fitting new bushes to the gear, and says he will machine a new washer down to size if i get a over size one. where will i get an over size one?

You wont - need to make one out of some stock (your engineer friend here should help), or get one of the boys i mentioned above to make/send you one.. I can make them up too - but you'd have to wait for a few weeks

or take a close look at your C clip and turn it round so the worn side is facing inward... and then re-measure the tolerance
