A local photographer took pictures of my car, so I decided to whip out my camera and shoot a video.

There is no secret.

I simply used a wire wheel on a drill, and did the whole block, and anything that is bare aluminum (alternator, dizzy, ect).

Plop a valve cover on top, done.

The engine bay was done with colormatched rattlecan paint- no tricks there.

It just seems people don't want to do it the right way anymore. My philosophy after I sold my A series, was do it right, or dont do it at all. Before then I just slapped parts on, not caring how it looked. I have a build thread on 16v mini, and you can see my A series SC setup- looked like garbage. Performed well, but that was it.

Doesn't take much skill. Just the will to say "if I spend a lot more time on it, it will look a little better".

Thanks for the comments- like I said, not much skill : P
