What's the best perfomance mod you can make to a 998 I've heard twin carbs is??

Forget twin carbs - the exhaust manifold is the limiting factor. Get yourself a decent stage 1 kit.

The car is of the road at the mo due to rot lol but it already has a stage 1 rc40 twin box but I remember someone saying twin carb was awesome

Does it have the manifold as well?
I always though it wasn't worth exploring twin carbs with a 998 without a more exciting cam anyway.y

Depends what use you make out of the 998.

I've heard that a single su is a good all rounder, twins can give slightly more throttle response, and a weber will give a bit more at top end. I can't prove if though. Either way there won't be much difference and there won't be a power gain as a single su is more than adequate.

Best mod is decent stage 1. After that head and cam work, and a good tune up after each step.
