Hi i have aquired a 1330 which although looks a tad scabby seems so have done not many miles. I am stripping the head off and dropping off the box to check everything is ok. I want to build it back up and want to know if there is anything i need to really do other than replace all the gaskets i have removed. oh and the oil filter.

looking for suggestions guys
thanks loads

Inspect all the bearings, including plastigauging them if they pass a visual inspection. Fit a new and inspected oil pump (do it anyway while the engine's in bits). Inspect everything basically. Clean out the breather canisters, stuff like that.

Oh yeah, and get the rods, bores and crank measured by an engineer. Check the crank taper.

There'll be loads of other stuff that other people say too!
