Electronic Clocks, What Rpm Should They Be Set To?

Geeze.... all the fun was over before I even saw the original title.

OK, it sounds like you have a programmable tach display? Set it for a maximum of either 7,000 or 8,000 RPM. Realistically 7,000 will be enough unless you really plan on winding the engine up frequently for extended periods.

As an example, my car runs on 10" rims and has a 3.44 final drive. Cruising at 65 MPH has the engine turning 4,000 RPM. I seldom push it higher than 6,000 RPM during acceleration.
