I was thinking of getting a new induction Kit for my SPI but am not sure to get a K&N or ITG megaflow kit?
I know ITG are more expensive but what is better and what produces more power and better induction noise? Anyone had experience with the Megaflow, are they better?
Thanks,
Jack

I have the K&N filter and it sounds amazing and has a million mile warranty which is pretty impressive. I have looked at the itg filters and they look very good, I think the foam they use is supposed to be better than the K&N material.

Another reason why the itg looks better is that it fits better under the bonnet and fits to the throttle body better, my K&N sits a little high and rubs on the inside of the bonnet sometimes, and it occasionally pops off the throttle body.

EDIT: spelling

I've had a bad experience with k&n where the filter split, so i wouldn't recommend them. On the mini I run a ITG trumpet sock and have had no problems.

As for noise they'll both probably sound the same, factory airboxes reduce noise, so all you'll do is make it louder.

Power? No power gains through either i'd imaging infact you'll probably lose some

An important thing to remember which I reckon 90% of people completely ignore- is that both cotton and foam types of aftermarket filter, have to be cleaned and re-oiled afterwards, otherwise they do little to filter anything dust size. The oil acts as the magnet which dust sticks to, without it stuff just passes right through.

Also said oil can cause damage to hot wire MAF sensors. The idle control valve went on my fiesta after fitting a k&n.

ITG induction kits outperform K&N filters.

I might go for a ITG if it fits, mines a Japanese import and has Air-con and there isn't much room under the bonnet but im sure It will fit.
Thanks for the Advice :)
