Hey, yesterday i shared a few pics of my Yellow Runaround...and as promised...some pics of my better car. This one only comes out for shows and sunny days. Its a MK3 dressed as a MK1, with a very retro theme. Shes running a 1340cc motor, Straight cut box, 266 cam and a 3:9 diff. Nothing amazing but its absolutly screaming at 80mph! Produced 81bhp on the rollers last year. She has 'S' running gear, light suspension mods and all the shiny bits a retro mk1 would have had. I take it to all the shows and done Combe last year. Ive never had so much fun in all my life. It was the first track day ive done and will certainly be doing another. I was probably one of the slowest on the track, but it was just so much fun! You will have to excuse the state of the car, its absolutly filthy in some of the pictures, it hasnt had a lot of attention since Coombe. But now its getting a bit warmer, i will certainly be out every weekend getting her back in shape for the shows this year :genius:

Cheers,

Graham

Nice looking car, my old one used to be surf blue. Such a lovely colour suites the car so much. Just gutted I wrote mine off around Castle Combe a couple of years ago :ermm:

The seats are Newton Commercial. I think the whole lot retails at getting on for the wrong side of £1000 with front seats, back seat, front/rear door cards, parcel shelf and the trim behind the center binacle. Luckily i didnt pay that sort of money for them, but £400 :ermm: They were out a written off MK2 from a guy that lives locally...bargain :genius:

As for the lamp cover...these are they guys i got them from...ClicKy I also got a spare wheel cover that is the same design as the lamp cover, obviously not original, but still a nice touch i think. They will make you any design you like and are very good quality and reasonably priced.

Many thanks,

Graham
