hi there,

we planned tonight that we where going to cut/grind away all the remaining boot floor and rear seat. (after taking sonik44 advice, to replace the whole panel instead of making repair patches.

then we came to the far right and far left corners of there boot where there seemed to be some thicker strenghening metal there.

what are these for?

are they available as a replacement part?

heres some pics, below the seatbelt mount. sorry for bad pictures, but can just make it out. (there is one both sides)

again, sorry for the poor photos, but you can just about make it out.

It looks like the bump stop plates if I am looking at the picture correctly. I'm not sure of the thickness of them maybe 4mm but they are just a rectangular piece if steel that sits under the bump stop support on the wheel arch spot welded and seam at either end of the plate to the boot floor. Take a look at my project thread and you will see the location of them. I hope I'm right and that it helps you out

I can measure mine if you like and you can cut your own not worth paying for a part as simple as that

yes please, that would be so helpful!

I cant even find the panel on somerfords exploded view diagrams so im guessing its just a flat plate?

I hope you dont mind but i saved some pictures from your project thread so when it comes to replace ment it will hopefully be alot easier!

thanks alot, Mike
