hi all i am currantly converting my mates 1985 mini to mpi i have the engine in and i got hold of a loom and steering collom i also have an ecu and fob but no alarm box

my question is as i cant find an mpi alarm box can i use an spi fob and alarm box with an mpi ecu or does the alarm box need to sync with the ecu as well thanks for any help john

You need the ''alarm'' box that goes with the ECU, although it's actually an Immobiliser.
