How many sq ft of Dynamat would be needed to do a MkII mini?

Even better does anyone have a breakdown of how much per area?

ie Floor, doors, boot, roof etc

Not dynamat but I have 40sq/ft of sound deadening and I did floor, doors, rear quarters, bulkhead and still some left over but not much. I wouldn't bother with the roof to be fair :)

Nice, I picked up a 36sq/ft box plus a half box so around 54sq/ft. Should be enough to do the whole car.

I'd put something on the roof to mass load it, it's a large thin area and resonates like a bugger if left to it's own devices.

Doing the bonnet is also a good idea as well. Have a look out for Silent coat as well, its a bit cheaper and does the same job, comes in different thickness's as well (4mm and 2mm)

I've used 84 SQ.FT in/on mine.

48sq ft of Dynamat Superlite
36sq ft of Dynamat Extreme

Then under the bonnet I've also used dynaliner.

This did include the roof though.

You can get cheaper stuff on ebay, unbranded alternatives or other brands such as AntiVibe sound deadening by Vibe for instance, but even those options are not what I would class as cheap... Its all much of a muchness in my opinion. I have used a mixture of antivibe, a tiny bit of dynamite I stole from a mates garage when he wasn't looking and the rest is ebay's finest

That's what I did... its called ez-cool from the states and meant to be the dogs danglies but obviously I have nothing to compare it to.. its easy to use and is 4mm if not a bit denser.. be careful though as I got hit with a mahoosive import charge of 17 quid for something I only paid 20 for, and then delivery... would of been cheaper for dynamat lmao

I was lucky and got mine from gumtree. A young guy had done his car and just wanted to get rid of the excess :)
