Dont they all have a number out of 500 though? Which would make yours the incorrect number lol

Sounds to me like it was one of the last Coopers that ran inline with the 500's. Welshdan, they basically had the same colour schemes and interiors as the 500's

Especially as most of the proposed 'last 500' wernt even the last minis produced.

They only became an official 500 if the main dealer sent off for te 500 pack put 2 grand on the asking price for some contact adhesive and a plaque...

Gotta love rover and long bridge

There was a bit more to it than that....silver roof and bonnet stripes, presentation pack, and signed certificate by John Cooper himself plus the glove box mounted plaque

Not that we have one anymore

Lol I know.
But the ones of the time the non 500's were also silver bonnet stripes roof etc all the same interior.
But it was a dealer thing. Cars that they'd had a while and that etc. They posted all the 500 bits to them

Still very amusing

The cooper sport 500's were the last 500 produced, the chassis numbers prove it. visit the cooper sport 500 register website to get your facts right! The plaque in the dash was not numbered, but the certificates signed by John Cooper and Kevin Howes state the chassis number and the fact it is one of the last 500. If in doubt email me the chassis number to [email protected] and I'll tell you if its a 500 or not, as I run the 500 register these days! Yes, many cars were sold in 2001 or later that were not 500's - its the chassis number that counts. If you car is not in the last 500 chassis numbers, its not a 500 and should not have a plaque.
