I just bought a load of 5/16 Unf, nuts and bolts, they seem to do and fit most things, put them on your list i'm sure theres other commom sizes that people will add as well.
I was told to avoid stainless for wieght bearing bolts because they're shear rate is a lot lower than normal steel.
cheers trac

5/16th and 1/4inch UNF are what you want mostly.

You need a selection of UNF nuts, bolts & washers. Best bet is to buy a UNF packege from Namrick Limited via their web site.
The most common sizes are 1/4" UNF, 5/16" UNF and 3/8" UNF. There are also some UNC bolts & screws in those sizes as well.
