To me, you have a standard gearbox out of a sprite or something similar, i just cant believe someone can build a straight cut box and then fit the wrong diff.
As I said, I dont know for sure that it is a straight cut box. was just assuming due to the deafening whine. need to know how to tell for sure without opening it up.

You may be able to tell if you have a SCCR gearbox by the drop in rpm between gears. Ratios in the SCCR are about 2.5, 1.75, 1.25, and 1 :1 respectively. If you change from third at 5000rpm into top the rpm should drop to about 4000rpm with the SCCR box, if the speed is held constant.
Thats what I was looking for, Thank you. what would the rpm drop be if it is a standard box? When I get a chance to try that I will post the results.
