what shall i do first? bought an a reg mini maybe a little more project than i can cope with but i pretty much have the means. she has a rusty floor and front sill's plus the inner wings around the air vents and at the floor is also rusty but otherwise the rest is good. Where do i start? shall i replace the floor first? patch the air vents? serious help is needed from anyone with the know. the rear pckets are also showing signs of rust especially the drivers side.

do the floors and sills first. that is the most structural stuff.

then do the other bits after.

Are you sure the rest is good, i'd give it a really good looking over before ordering the panels, take petrol tank up, rear bins next to seat and scrap around every where underneath with a screwdriver, also the where the front bulkhead meets the floor panel. I thought i'd found most of it then a week before spraying found some more, it doesn't stop EVER!!! good luck just take a methodical aproach to it and it'll be fine.

thanx for replying. stripped out all the interior and sound deadening, which was still wet!!! and gave everything a good poke with a screwdriver. not checked behind petrol tank so will have a look there, thanx for suggesting. just the bottom of the rear pockets are slightly rusty so was just goin to patch up, what would you suggest? and not sure whether to do full front to rear floor panels or just each foot well, one at a time??

do each footwell one at a time that way some strength is kept in the car while you cut a bit out.
