Does anyone know which way round those damn springs go please?
Better still, could any genius with a camera post a pic of which holes they snap into?
I took both off at the same time (of course) and didn't photograph them before they were dismantled so I have no base to work from.

If no-one has a photo, PM me and I'll scan a page in from the old BMC Workshop Manual and email it to you.
You do really need an original Workshop Manual, but one might guess they are not too easy to find where you are. They are so much better than the Haynes in terms of line drawings.
