That what I dont understand whcih is why I asked. I thknk he says it came out of a 1275 so ill email him and ask. if they are 1275 pistons they look to be in good condition

i guess he is assuming +60-1275 pistons will fit in an extreme over-bore 998 asking a bit much!
im no expert but i highly doutb it, could be wrong tho???
its a gamble purchasing items such as this!

id ask for front and rear pictures of the pistons to check for piston slap!
it will tell you if they are indeed new build and what std the build was!
ie fresh bore or new pistons in worn bored block!

they're budget 21251 jobbies about £20ish a throw at minispares i think...

as above, you can buy a new set for 80 quid, so personal opion is dont bother... also removing the pistons from the rods is a fiddly to say the least and a very good chance of misshaping the piston.

If they were 21253's then 40 quid would be a decent price..

Also with the 21251s you will need to take a decent chunk of the top of the block to get the compression ratio up

As said above not worth it when you cant get them for less than 40 notes
