So I need to replace my front end, front panel wings and bonnet.

Where is the best place to get the panels? And i cant really afford all genuine.

Is it best to buy genuine wings or genuine front panel, the other panels will be pattern parts.

Any advice would be great :)
First time at this soo go easy :D

If you cannot afford Heritage then pattern will fit. The front panel will need a bit of hammer and dolly work around the flanges as the pressings are quite rough.

I would recommend removing the E coat though as this is quite hit and miss on these panels. Be prepared to have to use a bit of grunt to get the wings to fit well. It's best to use a combination of self tappers and clamps. You may need to trim some of the wing flange back as well.

hello, i would recomend using genuine wings and after market 'A' panels and after market front panel. have fitted hundreds of after market a panels and front panels and fit very well, wings on the other hand are ****.

i would use min-its they are the best to deal with over the other suppliers and Julian (owner) will help you and also keeps a good stock.

hope this helps

In my experience pattern panels can be a bit hit & miss, depending on whose they actually are. M-Machine seem to have the best reputation for non genuine panels that I know of. http://www.m-machine.co.uk/

I can't help with minispares pattern panels though I'm afraid, as I've only ever had genuine panels from them.

Were very helpfull & were cheaper than from any of the other suppliers.
Give Chris a ring & sure he'll look after you.

The only pattern one ill have is the front panel. I will be buying genuine wings

Thanks for all the help ill see how different the prices are and whether not having to get them posted from minispares saves me some postage costs.

Thanks again

In case you didn't know, you get a 7.5% discount on all minispares purchases if you invest £5 here on TMF+ membership. Which could save you a fair bit of cash, if you're planning on buying many panels from them.

I think t's both, in that it's applied to anything you buy from them when you give them your account details. When you've joined, just send a PM here to Simon at minispares and he'll apply the TMF+ discount to your minispares account.

The pattern panels / repair panels I've bought from Minispares so far have had Magnum stickers on them. After the advice on the Forum, it'll be Heritage for the front panel, scuttle and wings etc. The 7.5% off for being a TMF member makes lots of sense. So does living a short drive away from Minispares....
