Hi all,

I have been running a c16se with a coil pack in my mk1 mini for a while now, but I had a problem couple of months ago and my front end caught on fire, whilst I was working on her, with a slight petrol leak.

When working on my starter motor there was a slight petrol leak from the inlet housing, which i new about, as I had to take it of to get access to the starter. long story short it caught on fire slightly. Luckly it did not cause alot of damage, only damage is the wires on my loom got burn't and the rocker cover vauxhall sign melted slighty.

Now I am looking to get my baby back on the road, but in the need of a wiring loom, and my question is:

Which vauxhall car looms will suit my engine, is there quite a few or only one from the c16se?
please help and if anyone has a loom that will be suitable or knows anyone who has, then please PM me.

Im sure the answer is out there but if it were me, id remove the loom, carefully separate the burned wires back until you can find the sheath colouring and repair it wire by wire using new coloured wire from Frost or Car Builder Solutions etc.

Obviously take great care to note which wires were connected to what on the engine and so on.....

Maybe not the most constructive reply but hopefully someone will be better at advising you shortly... id change the title and add something more specific to the vauxhall engine.
