Hey guys, just bought a Fusion subwoofer with amp built in.

Quick Question ..... Its pretty simple to do.
But is it the Real power cable.... a very small blue wire I think? Anyway where does that connect to so that the sub only comes on when the stereo does ?

The blue wire is the remote cable... it connects to the remote cable on the back of the stereo... then you have the rca cables which also connect from the amp to the stereo... the power cable connects to the battery and the earth can be connected to a bolt on the car (just make sure you sand under the bolt so its metal)

I hope that helps

I know all the others. Just there is no slot for the remote cable ? It may have come loose from the power/earth cable as that one has an adapter on the end

What head unit do you have It would give us a better idea. The remote cable is also called a power antenna cable. If you don't have one you can always wire it to a switch. The advantage with a switch is you can turn it off and on whenever you want.

i put my power to the positive using an o terminal and the same with the earth to my negative, blue goes to the head unit so it turns on when the head unit does, and same with the rc cable, if you look above the battery theres a small hole in the fire wall, so I ran my wires through that, under the back seat and down the side, no drilling required

Sorry, Il try and be more clear.

I have the power cable earthed and on the positive point on the battery. This wire then heads into the Enclosure via a small socket. Currently the socket isnt plugged in. When i do plug it in the power light flicks on for less then a second but the sub doesnt power up. I have tried it without the remote cable and with the remote cable and I still get the same result. I have also tried it with the engine on and off with the same result

Right...

I presume its a 'normal' setup.. :proud:

So..

1) is it on a good bodywork ground point?
2) what socket is it? any links to it?
3) what charge is your battery holding? (volts)

Sounds like a earthing problem mate... make sure its earthed to bare metal and not on paint or rust.
