Hello all,

I've a 1973 Morris Mini 998cc running well.
Recently removed and flushed radiator and hoses, and have had no dramas with one exception.
After doing highway (100kmh or 60mph) runs my coolant is being lost.
Yesterday went out for a run and luckily the overflow hose came loose, propelling steam into the cabin before any noticeable rise in temperature.

I plan on fitting new gaskets, temp guague and bypass hose in the next couple weeks, but am at a loss as to where the coolant is going, and why it is only when driving at higher speeds.
Around the suburbs at 50kmh there is no loss.
Is it perhaps a pressure issue?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

First step would be a new rad cap - no need for 'high pressure' 5 psi cap is enough.

Second step would be to recheck all the hoses and clips - especially since you told us that one blew off.
