Fuel Gage

My fuel gage will only go up until half full, I have replaced the sender unit any ideas?

If it isn't the sender unit, then is it the gauge on the dash? might be worth trying a different fuel gauge to see if that's your problem.

Remove the green/black wire from the sender and with the ignition switch in the "run" position, hold the terminal of the green/black wire to an earth point in the boot (bare metal spot). Watch the gauge over a minute or so. If the gauge goes to full, the problem is in the sender. If the gauge only goes to 1/2 full again, you have a problem with the gauge or the voltage stabilizer.

Is the temperature gauge still the original electric one and is it working properly?
