If they want it theyll feckin have it...
if they want mine then they will have to get past 2 high security gates, next doors german shepherd, an alarmed garage, the car alarm and the chain wrapped between the steering wheel and the bodyshell.........

and if they did get it when the car was outside ......its got an agreed insurance valuation of £5k anyway.......plus it would be difficult to shift a load of mini 1100 special bits without me noticing them for sale........

If they wanted to get to mine they'd have to walk onto my driveway, unlock the boot (Without the keys), jump start or charge the battery, pump up the tires and roll it off.
Oh and the Labrador and Springer Spaniel, but it has SORN insurance, I saw to many project mini's being stolen I wasn't taking a risk.
It also has an alarm sticker in the window.....No alarm.

Can I ask how much the SORN insurance cost? I might get mine insured too..

The first quote I got was £180 but at that time I didn't have that money, so got a different quote for £230 because I pay it monthly. :)

I wont even leave mine outside now at all. Goes straight back in the garage when I've used it. I live in a fairly quiet cul-de-sac with very little traffic but I do worry a little when I see the 'scrap collectors' driving round when I have my garage open! Mines not alarmed at the moment but will be by the time it's back on the road but is kept in a locked garage and I park my daily (which is alarmed/immobilised) right up to the door.
it amazes me how many daily driven classic mini's don't have any form of security on them, there are a few around by where we live and they are just left on the driveways with little or no protection whatsoever.............i'd be damned if i left mine outside without any security!!
Hmm I thought the same. Every time I open the grage doors to do some work on mine a constant run of scrap men appear of out of thin air and seem to take far too much interest in the car or contents of my garage. Getted me a bit worried, especially as I'm only 5/10 minutes from Hall Green and Acocks Green !.
