Ive owned a mini now for 3 years and was my first car, the amount of help from this forum is unbelievable, anything Ive ever asked people have gone out of there way to help!

Last year i decided to sort the mini out properly and completely strip it, so Ive now ended up with a vw polo as my daily run around whilst the mini is (slowly) being rebuilt, the amount of problems Ive had with this is shocking haha
rear wheel bearing
thermostat
clutch went
now front wheel bearings
and most recently it wont idle just cuts out

Anyway my point being is Ive posted on "clubpolo" about all these issues and was expecting a lot of responses and help like on here.

But no unless you talk about shiny wheels and lowing kits no one seems to care. carnt beat The Mini Forum ! cant wait to get my mini back on the road and be a true Brit!

Rant over.

VW 'scene' people can be strange to say the least. One of the reasons I am selling my camper. I got it because I want to sleep in it not fake being a surfer while living in the midlands.

Unfortunately unless your on a forum that the cars are often going wrong you wont get help.

For example MB owners club were no help at all, but cliosport.net have always been incredible helpful. The same as on here.

I did exactly the same as you, bought a 1.4 16v polo the 100bhp one so I could spend quality time on the mini instead of been up till silly times with the mini so it can take me to work in the morning. Like you I joined the polo forum and was shocked with some of the replys to threads, think we have been spoilt with the mini scene. The polo threw a belt and I needed advice, bad idea on that forum. Ended up throwing a gti engine in with a Haynes manual now that was fun. Polo.net is a lot better than club polo anyways.
