That's a mk4 drainage hole, definitely not a pre 76 shell!

Yeah my mistake, I'm getting gutter cut outs and drip rails confused!! >_<

i know what your all saying about it not being the original shell etc, but you have to keep in mind, the sort of person who is buying/bidding on this isnt after a mk1. they are obviously just after any fancy looking mini, and potentially being tax exempt is just a bonus to them.

the sort of person buying this is about 18 ish, listens to dub-step, and think this car looks "sick, dope or ill" etc. this is what i would describe as a "boy racer mini" where its just form over function.

anyone who is looking for a genuine mk1 isnt going to look at this for more then 2 minutes before tutting and going to the next listing.

Noticed this morning that the car has been relisted '180995995050'. I sent a message to eBay myself saying it is a badly modified modern SPi using the identification of a classic 1961 mini.
I wanted to go on but eBay only gives a 90text replay box :(.
I think DVLA would be interested in this.

There is a yellow Mini near here which has a later shell on what was obviously a Mk.1 It's been done sympathetically and has Mk.1 rear lights, Mk.1 grill, centre binnacle, early-type seats, 850 engine with 'wand' gear change, 10" wheels, drum brakes, etc. I can accept that as a good effort andwould have no issues with it. However, this car is just a total 'ringer'. It's simply a late car with an early number plate and V5 done to defraud HM Revenue & Customs of the road fund licence duties and, probably, get cheaper insurance by mis-declaring what it really is.
And someone is going to maybe pay for the doubtful priviledge of owning it.

These are looking more and more dodgy, especially with the amount of Mini's going missing, then these suspicious ones appear on fleabay..... :goaway:
