Been thinking of getting a set of these for a while, though the price has put me off (minisport want about 90 quid for set). Though I won a set on Ebay for a decent price. They arrived today.

I am/was going for a rally esq inspired style on my mini.

Not sure how i will fit them either over the bumber with a slit cut out for the corner bar
or
under the bumber.

opinions.....

personally, i don't think they suit your car. Which already looks rather nice.

What about if you cut a decent amount off them, to make a 'skinny' version, and put them under the bumper? Certainly not something I've seen before but reckon it could look cool :shifty:

I had already thought about trimming them a bit.

I guess by the underwhelming amount of opinions, you guys are being polite and you dont like the guards. I am a bit torn myself.

IF you're using them in rainy conditions then better to fit them, they're a god send when you run over splashes..otherwise they look just..erm..wrong..

I agree they are pretty ugly, but ugly in a cool way!

I am leaning towards trimming them and having them under the bumper, keep it a bit cleaner

Thanks for the pictures

If done neatly I think yours is one of the few cars that could get away with them :proud:

Personally I don't think that they would suit you car, which I think already looks great! (although I still think it looks naked without the roof rack! ;D )

I only think the guards look right on cars which look like rally cars

Offered up the gaurds to the car today.

A fait bit if triming and countouring and i was happy.

In the end i fitted them under the bumber, attached via the bumber mounting stud plus one small bolt through the bumber lip.

Looks great, i think a different bonnet badge would look better, and maybe orange indicators with the chrome surround.
