Hi chaps I'm at the stage of plugging all the drainage holes up on the floor and just want to know the best tried and tested way of doing it also what plugs are the best to use.
Thanks guys.

Weld them up, they are not drainage holes, they are jig alignment holes from manufacture. This is what I have been told from many reliable sources on here with much more mini experience than myself. If your mini leaks then the carpets will rot and stink regardless of drainage holes.

Opinions seem to differ. I can't see how so many large holes were necessary or useful for jigging, although there was, on later models, at least one smaller jigging hole near the heelboard. But nor were so many of them needed for drainage. So leaving the possible purposes aside, it might be expedient to keep one drain hole, with a rubber blanking plug, in each footewll, and weld up the others, unless you are fussed about originality, in which case you will also want the original metal blanking plugs, which had about 6 or 8 springy "petals" on the back, and were sealed with some kind of mastic.

I doubt if you can get these now. Can anyone else remember them? The nearest thing I know of is the aftermarket chrome blanking plugs for the spare wiper holes, which are probably not the same diameter.
