Just a quick one well non of the bodywork issues have been a major prob, knowledge of the engine is :S as my dad says hes not a mechanic "seems to suck air before it picks up" This is something i can member my dad saying today, does it mean anything to one of you out there? anything we can check for etc to try and get it running better?

I'm assuming it's a "standard" engine here.....
Check the vacuum pipes, check the breather pipes, and check the dashpot for oil. Check the air filter, and check your plugs/plug leads and distributor. General service stuff really.

Check the manifold nuts haven't come loose.
