Well, the time has come when I'm finally sick of being deafened by my DTM exhaust every time I get in the car, and im sure the neighbours arent too pleased either :( so i've been hunting for a replacement.

Up to now I've been running the standard system with a cat, and the big bore DTM backbox. This is soon to be replaced with an LCB, decat pipe (which are sat here now) and whichever backbox I choose.

Firstly, how much of a noise difference is the LCB and decat likely to make (bearing in mind my current flexy section has an enormous hole in it) and secondly, how does the sound of the RC40 compare to the DTM? It sounds awesome as it is from outside, I'd like to keep that but just a little bit quieter and less intrusive on the motorway.

Thanks!

Yes it is rather loud :P I do love the way it sounds, but after something similar just quieter now...

And better from a performance viewpoint :P

But they sound like a fart!! Just can't see the appeal of that noise:P. and you should defiantly feel the difference in the power, but don't be supprised if the engine doesn't run right. If it doesn't it may need setting up properly.

I don't think it does, really like mine, sounds like a Subaru on tick over :P just one that's too loud :(

Well forgot to mention mines an mpi so if I just pull the ecu fuse for a minute it should reset itself?

why do you want it to reset itself? and i think there is a certain length of time you have to have it out before it resets itself. have a look around here, im not to clever on MPi's :P
