hey guys , so in the process of rebuilding my mini and ive put my glass in the mechanisms worked fine before i took them out just abit stiff , now ive put them back in , with new rubber seals all round the glass , and the mechanisms have started jumping when you try wind them up or down :S was wondering if anyone's had the problem before and how they got round it

Yes, it happens on most cars eventually, because either the teeth on the drive gears wear, or the bearings wear, allowing the gears to come out of mesh. Sometimes you can fix things like that, for instance by building the quadrant gear up with weld and carefully filing new teeth.

Whatever, you need to take the mechansisms out for a look.
