hi have fitted a set of hi los and lowered shocks, i have 12inch alloys, would the standard black arches be ok, or do i need wider arches, so the wheels dont rub,, cheers for looking

If it rubs you need to raise the suspension untill it no longer rubs, the wideness of the arches won't make a difference because the wheel will rub on the front of the wing.

unless you have lowerd the car too much the type of arches shouldnt affect if they rub or not, when choosing the arches u need to look and see if the side wall of the tyre protrudes from the body, so if still protrudes with the standard black arches then you will need to go for wider arches

before i fitted the hi los they did stick out but only just

you will need wider arches then as wheels protruding from the arches is actually an MOT failure

jus go have look round on mini sports or mini spares websites as there are a few differant types depending on the style u want

just dont want the arches so wide the wheels look hidden

my understanding is that wheels can stick outside arches but tire tread must be covered. Although as always, if it looks wrong you Will attract hassle.

ye i think you are right about the tread but on alot of tyres if you can see any of it u can more or less see the tread so best to be safe
