I have an early tandem master brake cylinder on my Mini. The number on the cylinder is 3211-404C 70. I would like to rebuild it and have a couple of questions:

1. How do you get it apart? I removed the large C clip on the bottom, but nothing comes apart. The Haynes manual mentions "moving the piston up-and-down in the bore so as to free the nylon guide bearing and cap seal". I tried this but still nothing happened. Is there a trick to it?

2. I searched several vendor sites and haven't found a rebuild kit for this cylinder either. Does anyone know where I can get the kit?

3. If there are no kits for this particular cylinder, what would be an appropriate substitute? Hopefully one that won't require changing hard lines, etc...

Here's the style I have:

OK, I found that this cylinder is refered to as a GMC159 and the rebuild kit is GRK1019.

And apparently there is another C-clip under a nylon washer. I just need to somehow remove nylon washer...
