From mashed-up Minis to sorry-looking Subarus, join two teams of qualified London breakers as they go head-to-head in a bid to turn piles of scrap into piles of cash.
With only three days to find, dismantle and sell off the parts, the pressures on to make the maximum profit and win the challenge.

From the website picture gallery it looks like both a classic and new Mini will be stripped for their parts? :ohno:

Yes they will be, but they are generally cars hardly worth putting back on the road!

My car was filmed for the 'cut-scenes' of the programme where they show a shining example :) Keep an eye out for it in a few weeks!

Loving the guy cutting a rear quarter off the BINI but not covering the glass from the sparks, stopping him from selling the glass on.

but looks quite good especially cool seeing a members car on there!

Great - advertising to more people about the lucrative operation of stealing and breaking Minis.........

Well done National Geographic, shame it doesnt feature an episode 'dismantling' their broadcasting equipment.

It's alright, no one watches NG anyway :D

There is something incredibly dodgy about them though.

That point also came up when Attaboy TV first mentioned the format for their new series on here back in February:

As if enough Minis haven't been stolen and stripped for parts lately, this is bound to at least put the idea in a few more peoples minds. As others have said, there is something dodgy about the whole idea of this show!

I hate to take away the limelight of Doovydoo's car being featured in the show though, congratulations to you!

Does anyone think we all might be over thinking this though, and it's only because we're used to being in a car scene/community where the cars can be easily stolen and stripped, and we're all a bit too paranoid? :dozing:

Any car is a perfect target to be stolen and stripped for parts. If anything there are more lucrative options on the roads.

The reason Minis get stolen is quite obvious to any owner. I'm not going to point it out on the public board, though.

Where is this iconic Cooper they speak of? The blue one looks like it could be the City to me. It does make me a little sad as that Mini looks in better condition than mine did when I got it!

Well done DoovyDoo getting your car in the show. An excellent example as well, it looks stunning!

New Mini will have worthless rear glass now. Some lovely melted bits with fresh steel ready to rust!

I am guessing that is the British Racing Green/White New MINI Cooper that they stripped down as seen in the photo above, the leather seats, interior, etc were on ebay a while back and mentioned in the earlier thread back in Feb.

Hi all,

I joined the forum recently to get some ideas for where to start with a clubbie restoration I'm looking to start. I inherited a 1275 clubbie from my grandad - lucky boy! I've been watching this programme recently and I think its actually quite a laugh - bit light on the tech stuff though. Just wanted to give a heads uop as its on tonight and has mnis. Dismantling mnis though so probably won;t be able to pick up any tips anyway!

Is it just me or were the prices for the parts somewhat extreme on this programme?? If bits really go for this money then i'm sitting on a goldmine! :gimme:
