Following on from Surfblue's & Minisi's suggestion for a TMF Motorsport section, it would be useful to have some user feedback to see if it'd viable and how it can best be implemented.

So who's already competing, and in what events? - Sevens, Miglias, Rally, Grass Track etc.

You could also let us know if you are more than casually involved - a marshal, a regular spectator of a particular series...

I'm interested in all kinds of Motorsport and I think it'd be a great idea to have a dedicated section, there are lots of Minis used in different kinds of competition and, after all, TMF should be the best source for Mini preparation and advice... there are very experienced members on here!!

I am a member of the Chelmsford Motor Club, started 12 car rallying last year and have done a few marshaling events. In November I'll be taking part in the Woodbridge Gymkhana Replacement, the first prototype of a Targa Rally... can't wait!!

I guess, I should be under the Rally heading..

Rallying! But you probably already knew that...

Currently preparing my own 'Group A' car too compete in anything up to a national level. Planning on entering the BTRDA as soon as I have the funds too do so. You'd be surprised at how well a mini can do within its class with the right modifications and a well thought out design!

Road rallying - i'm in the continent, does driving on the wrong side of the road still counts?
I do both club and official events, but i've not been very active this year due to a lack of funds..

Yes, just quote 'n edit - you can add more detail under the quote if you think it'll be useful.
Looks like we already have a budding Rally scene

CSCC magnificent sevens, classic touring cars, British r300 caterham championship.

Work in motorsport, run cars from the likes of 200hp caterhams to a 700 hp F5000

And on the racing side of things, competition license put in for 8). Hopefully mini sevens season after next!
