has anyone fitted a metro auto engine and gearbox into a 1275 mini sprite auto

I have the chance to buy a metro 1.3 automtic, 1988, The gearbox on my mini sprite 1275 auto 1992 is US, do yoy think it will work,

Do you need any special parts? or any tips

Should be a straight swap, as long as the metro is A series and not K series, which I don't think it is in 1988.
