I've heard good things about MED, Paul Inch, Brett Sims and ML Motorsport to name a few.
I'd suggest you buy a cylinder head to suit your engine spec, rather than buying a stage 2/3/4/5 head 'off the shelf' jobbies.

How much have you got to spend. For me the Specialist Components 7-port will be the best and easiest to fit 8-valve head.

Cheers for all the replies people!
Ye ive been looking into all diffrent makes etc
My set up is runnin a swift tune 5 cam with 1.5 roller rockers !
Elecronic 123 dizzy ,lucas sports coil ,lightened flywheel,12g940 head
Lcb manifold with a custom inlet manifold which has been ported so they Are pretty much the same size as the gasket hole sizes and a hif44 single carb!
Ive been told it should run about 75bhp at the wheels which i would be very happy with! Got this figure from a mate whos mad on minis and has run similar set ups before over the years ! Take alot of advice off him but just looking into even more ideas an what people think
Thanks every1 keep them coming 😀

12G940 head means nothing as virtually every head fitted to a 1275 is a 12G940 from the 1970 1275GT right through to the last 1275 Minis.
What gives the better performance is the way the head has been gas-flowed, the valve sizes and the compression ratio it gives.
For best power with the cam you have you need a well gas-flowed head with 35.6 mm inlet valves and 30.5 mm exhausts, a compression ratio of around 10.5:1 and a matched inlet & exhaust manifold.

Talk to Andy at cylinder head developments in Bromsgrove. Tell him what Cooperman said and he will sort you out. Very helpful and knowledgeable guy.

I bought a minispares mse5 head a couple of years ago for a road car when they were cheaper and vat free. It never got used and I then bought a mini 7 race car with a nackered head, the mse5 was shown to my engine builder who liked it. Last time it was on the rollers it gave 78bhp from a 998.
All the work on the head was top notch, and the ports have not been made stupidly large so it works well on the 7, not front running but ok.
