hello my name is carlos and have mini 1000 special deluxe the year 1970 and wanted to switch the dynamo for a alternador.mas not know how to do electrical wiring connections to the regulated voltage and the connections to the rest of the car. someone can help me. Thank you.

Hi,

I suggest you read the articles in the two links below.

The first link discusses what and how to change to install the alternator. This link makes the changes to the wiring by cutting and splicing the wire ends together. This means cutting up the wiring loom a bit. If this method is used, it is more difficult to put the generator back on if you want to at a later date.

The second link provides the same basic information on how to change over to an alternator. However, in this article they explain how you can modify a junk or broken dynamo voltage regulator box to act as a junction box. If this approach is used, all of the original loom is left intact. This makes it easier to convert back to a generator later if you choose to.
