I need to fully remove the pedal assembly bracket off the car to drill out and replace all 4 studs. Just at the dash rail end it has those shear bolts with no heads that haven't been touched for the best part of 20 years. It's been a while since I last had to play with those under the dash rail and had forgotten how I'd gone about it before. Also does the steering column have to come out as well?

I tried slitting with a 1mm grinding disk. it refused to budge this way so i had to just drill the centre of the bolt head out.

As above, grind the head off, drill it out or slot it

You have to take the column out and also one of the security bolts holding the bracket to the lower dash rail needs extracting

Remove the clutch split pin (easier said than done) and it should come out once the bolts are removed

It's kinda what I was expecting, just didn't fancy lying on my back with a drill up under the dash. Still I suppose I should expect it after already having to use a hacksaw to remove the clutch master cylinder. Still at least I was spared the clutch pin ball ache, as who ever bodged fitting the new master cylinder, never refitted the pin after.
