I have an opportunity to buy of the 10 WC50 Minis delivered to Oz with a low 5000k's. I thought there were only 250 produced world wide but this one is number 370 (which is cool given 37 is the Monte Carlo one from way back when).
So how many we're made, maybe 500? The previous owner has ordered a new GP so an amazing opportunity for me, sad to see my modded R53 go tho, but may be time for a change.
It's in stunning condition too, if I get it ill be sure to post up some pics.
Cheers

I don't know the answer to any of the questions you're asking, but these are IMO the best looking Bini

Buy buy buy!!
Gorgeous cars, as far as I know 250 were made with only 100 staying in the UK
Connaught green 211-hp 1.6-litre turbo engine , 6 speed manual gearbox
Drive wise the reviews arnt that good most saying that understeer is a big problem and there isnt a big difference between this and a regular JCW mini...although I'd love the chance to just drive one who caressss!!!

I have heard the previous owner preferred his R53 JCW (from the guy who ended up with that one) but my test drive is tomorrow arvo. It will be interesting to see how it compares to mine with the mods I have done. I guess it will depend on what figure they come up with for the change over.
I don't think there is any difference between this one and a normal JCW, apart from the carbon fibre and exclusive bragging rights. The big question for me to consider is if it is worth changing over or to keep modding my existing car (which I've been modelling on the WC50 anyway).

Investment wise its got to be a good choice if kept original...mileage will always effect its future value so alot depends on what you want it for
I'd have one as an investment sat in the garage and only coming out for a whizz in summer, if I wanted a car to enjoy all year round I'd go for a 'regular' JCW mini
Let us know how the test drive goes

There are a few mods, JCW strut brace and after market suspension upgrade but all original parts are available in boxes so that's not a problem. In my r53, I've done about 4500k's in a bit over 18 months as not regularly driven, maybe the odd weekend. This one would be the same and I've been trying to think if the driving pleasure would still be there if having to worry about chips and scratches etc.
My current car is in great condition too but I drive it to enjoy it, often quite hard, but I don't worry about it because of the joy it gives me.
The comparison will be interesting as I have upgraded the brakes to r56 JCW brembos all round and done the usual mods to super charger, induction and exhaust so should be interesting. Keen to see what the twin scroll turbo is like regarding lag but from what I've read, it's pretty good.

I think the JCW WC50 also had 'everything' from the options list fitted as standard!

These MINI's ( not BINIS ) are just spruced up jcw's. The powertrain is the same.

what a complete waste of my time, it was drizzling a bit so couldnt take it for a drive and couldnt give me a quote on change over as the bosses were away at HQ. from the talk though, sounds like they are going to offer a ridiculously low amount on mine (so they can make a huge profit) and no room to move on the price of the JCW.
think i will be sticking to the R53 which will be quicker anyway by the time the mods are completed.
disappointing afternoon in the end. at least i got to take mine out for a drive in the middle of a working day, that cant be all bad.
cheers
