hi guys, just failed a warrant of fitness as the brakes on my 1971 clubman are pulling to the left and the the right wheel is locking up. tried the adjustment nuts and they dont make a lot of difference... any ideas

I assume that you're talking about drums on the front if you have tried adjustment nuts.
Have you checked the wheel cylinders? Maybe seized or leaking and contaminating the shoes one side.
