I'm after some assistance from some of you experts out there.
I am looking to replace my current 12g940 cylinder head which does not have hardened valve seats with a second hand 12g940 which already has the hardened seats already fitted.
On closer inspection of the two heads there are bronze plugs on the old head which do not exist on the new one. Is this likely to cause my issues when I come to refitting? All the stud holes are all in the same position. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a later head, the later factory unleaded head do not have the brass plugs, they have slightly smaller steel plugs, which look like shallow cups.

Cheers AC.
To the best of your knowlege would it be possible it fit a bronze blanking plug to the new head or should I source an entirely new head altogether? My block is currently in the process of being rebuilt by an engine builder, would fitting a bronze plug be something a competent engine builder could do, I would presume it would require a skim afterwards.

No need to do anything, as long as the steel plugs are in place and ok, fit and forget.
