Greetings everyone,

I am looking for a needle recommendation for my mini. I am running an SU HIF 44 carburetor and have the following specifications. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

1275CC bored 0.020" over for 1293CC displacement

Oselli Torquemaster intake

Maniflow exhaust header and RC40 exhaust

Vizard VP7 Cam (I think it's approx 276 but I'm not positive)

Iskendarian pushrods and lifters

Dual valve springs

There's a cool program, doesn't cost much, maybe £5, called "WinSU" http://www.winsu.co.uk/download.html
The free version hides part of the needle number but you can usually guess what it is.

From what you say, AKN, BAP or BBA

You'll likely need a custom needle for this engine. You will also be on the cross over between needing a RED or yellow carb spring. I would dyno this engine to work out the exact needs.

BBA needle a good start, but depending on spring, would determine the final profile actually reaquired.

Thanks for the advice. Is there any other info I can provide that would help narrow down the choices?

I have a BCE needle in my 1330 276 cam rc 40 seems to work ok
