just looking for another quick lil bit of help! 2001 focus has thrown up these fault codes C2077 (undefined), P0760 (shift solenoid "C") and P0100 (mass or volume air flow "A" circuit)

can someone point me in the direction of the definition for the C fault, google isnt giving me anything, any advice on the other 2'd be helpful too! thanks folks!

the 2 P codes are showing up as circuit malfunctions on my list, says to check wiring and maf sensor.

The Chassis code is a manufactuer specific code, but ford normally use C1xxx, never came across a 2xxx

What engine has it got?

do any of them clear?
What symptoms? is it just the engine light on or are you having difficulty with the gearbox?
If the latter c code is probably irrelavant and related to the p0760 code being pressent
MAF sensor is more likely issue, attempts to clean them are hit of miss, and replacement is best with quality parts. Cheap after market ones can often lead to more issues than they are worth

its a 1.6 zetec freshly transplanted into the car

as above, i just put in a 1.6 and its not even driven yet, still on the stands and all it'l do is idle, try to rev it and it just bogs down and wont rev above 3500, think it could be more to do with the wiring to the maf sensor as i'v swapped it with a known working 1 and put the other 1 onto that car and it ran fine!
cant erase the faults, no engine light but getting a battery light but i think it due to the alternator, swapped onto the working car and the battery light came on but both were ok with the working alternator

thanks lads, gonna be having a play with the car this week and see what i can do
